The down town public library hosts an old fashioned Christmas tree trimming in the children's department on Saturday. Margaret Bradow says materials for decorations and popcorn garlands will be provided. The event runs 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. and welcomes drop ins.

Relatives Abusing Children Shown in Rhode Island Study
UPI reports two Rhode Island doctors found in a one year study of six children treated for sexual abuse that half of the under nine group and one third of ages ten to fourteen were abused by relatives, with the youngest child age two treated at Women and Infant's Hospital.
