Mount Mercy station KWMR-FM on air schedule
Mount Mercy College's radio KWMR FM 93.9 begins its season of music and education. It broadcasts 6 p.m. to midnight Sunday to Friday and 4 p.m. to midnight Saturdays. The 10 watt student run noncommercial station serves Cedar Rapids with diverse programming and two monthly 15 minute community affairs programs. Light turnout expected for Cedar Rapids cable referendum
A small turnout is expected Tuesday as Cedar Rapids voters decide on a non exclusive five year franchise for Cedar Rapids Cable Communications Corp. Polls run 7 am to 8 pm in 26 precincts with about 64 000 eligible voters. The proposal includes a 3 percent gross revenue payment to the city and a 7 30 monthly house connection fee. FCC approval would follow regulatory action by the City Council.
