Rosenfels Among Top NFL Prospects Rated Ahead of ISU Opener
Iowa State quarterback Sage Rosenfels earns second place share among senior NFL prospects behind Purdue’s Drew Brees. The 6-foot-4, 221-pound junior has one year of major college play but high potential as national scouting ranks him with Oklahoma’s Hoepel and Florida State’s Weinke as a top quarterback group. Rosenfels aims to win games this season and let future rewards follow. Cyclones host Ohio University in the 2000 opener. Rosenfels is a team captain and a key leader for ISU.
