Sinclair Beats Creel In California Governor Primary
Upton Sinclair, aligned with the democratic party in California, won the Democratic nomination for governor in Tuesday's primary by a large plurality. He defeated George Creel, wartime propagandist for President Wilson. Frank F. Merriam was chosen as the Republican nominee over C. C. Young, and Sen. Hiram W. Johnson was easily renominated.
