Two Rural Postville Men Die in Bridge Crash
Two men from Postville died in a one car crash 30 miles northwest of Postville. Terry L Blietz 25 and John W Bissell Jr 28 were pronounced dead on arrival at Winnebago County Memorial Hospital. The crash occurred late Saturday night or early Sunday morning after the car left a gravel road, struck a ditch crossed a creek and hit a concrete bridge abutment. Authorities say both occupants were ejected and the driver is unknown. Investigating agencies include the Iowa State Patrol and Winneeshiek County Sheriff's Department.

A Keota man died when his car plunged 40 feet from the Grace Hill Road overpass six miles west of Washington after losing control. Passenger Matthew Sherman 22 of Brighton was treated for back injuries and Daniel Peiffer 31 of Keota was freed from the wreckage and airlifted to a university hospital.
