North Western Railway Co. files in Polk county district court to force revaluation by the state Tax Commission. The suit mirrors a 1964 action and targets the 61 counties as part of the 1965 tax basis. Other divisional winners include Lamb and Duane R. An, C. V. Hoglan, Jerry Kerr, and Stancombe in Cedar Rapids and Indianola contests.
The Chicago and North Western asked a judge for a temporary injunction to block county auditors in 56 counties from certifying the railroad taxes to the treasurer. Surviving are his wife and father Jerry Plotz and brother Miles of Cedar Rapids. Memorial services were held at Turner chapel with interment at Czech Nation Cemetery.
