County supervisors expansion unlikely in Linn County ballot
Cedar Rapids Linn County voters will not vote in November on increasing the board from three to five. Supervisors Jim Houser and Lu Barron rejected the plan after noting 750 of the 12 576 signatures needed. Petitions indicate more names may come but timing and legal requirements remain hurdles. Balderston, a Republican candidate, plans to pressing the issue if elected. if not, she may restart petitions.
