Northwest Recreation Center opens as multiuse hub in Cedar Rapids
The 16,000 square foot Northwest Recreation Center replaces Ambroz with a large gym for two basketball courts and three volleyball courts plus a 150 person meeting room. It hosts classes drop ins and events with hours 8 to 9 weekdays and weekend access. The center, funded by FEMA and local partners, serves Harrison students and the community while Ambroz awaits a possible new use.
