Quest for Cedar Rapids medical district widens scope
Health leaders tout Cedar Rapids high quality low cost care as plans for a medical district advance. PCI proposes a 200000 square foot medical mall on 10th Street SE while Mercy plans a 10.7 million Destination Cancer Center near 10th Street and Fifth Avenue SE. The district would span properties bounded by I 380 and 8th Avenue SE between 12th and Sixth streets SE and require council approval.
