Linn County August Draft Call Names Eight Men
The Linn county selective service board announced eight men to fill the August draft, including Carl A. Adkins and Paul F. McQuown of Marion, John L. Finch in Marion, Richard A. Timms and Floyd H. Marugg in Central City and Springville, Richard L. Bascom of Palo, Richard A. Wart of Central City, and Robert L. Peterson of 1031 Third Ave SW. They will go to Fort Des Moines for induction. Ralph A. Terrill of Marion transfers from Bloomington, Indiana, and Adkins transfers to Kalamazoo Michigan. Timms Bascom Wart and Peterson are volunteers.
