Leaves Mound In Game With Yanks In A Huff

Wes Ferrell of the Red Sox was fined 1000 dollars and suspended indefinitely by Manager Joe Cronin after a 4 1 Yankee win. The temperamental righty, who has 54 wins and 33 losses for Boston since 1934, is expected to be traded at season’s end. Ferrell walked off the mound after a sixth inning sequence, insisting he acted only with orders and expressing willingness to be traded though not losing his pay. Cronin issued the discipline as the club cited Ferrell as a frequent dissenter and the stiffest fine in recent years.
