Iowa group sues over Iowa water rules vote
A state group Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement Action Fund files a federal suit claiming five EPA commissioners appointed by Gov. Branstad had direct financial interests in factory farms and should have recused themselves from a Tuesday vote on stronger Clean Water Act rules. The complaint seeks to block the October rule implementation and require a new vote without conflicted commissioners.
