Market roundup shows steer slump amid grain and hog gains
Steer prices sunk to a five month low while corn and soybeans rallied. Corn jumped 9 cents to 1.90 1.92 a bushel and soybeans rose 24 cents to 6.17 6.25 at elevators. Hog prices gained 0.50 to 0.75 for the week as sheep values firmed up to 2 per hundred and pork products edged higher. Eggs in Iowa remained unchanged.
