Legal challenge to Iowa nude dancing ban at juice bars
In Des Moines and Davenport a federal hearing examined a new state law banning nude dancing at juice bars. Owners argue the ban harms artistic expression and business value, while state lawyers say lawmakers can ban nudity in venues holding sales tax permits. The judge ordered written briefs by Sept. 8 and will rule soon.
