Waiting List Reaches 300 at University of Iowa Dorms

About 300 students would live in temporary lounge spaces in UI residence halls if classes start. Cancellations are slow, so lounges at Burge Daum Stanley Rienow and Slater house late applicants paying $2 per day while regular dorm residents pay $7 to $12 daily. Some may stay through September as contracts begin Saturday for 2,980 rooms.
