Cedar Rapids and Marion firms receive state incentives for expansion
The Iowa Economic Development Authority approved tax incentives for Highway Equipment Co. of Cedar Rapids to build a 32,000 square foot testing facility and create 14 jobs at $24.91 per hour, and Legacy Manufacturing of Marion to fund a 200,000 square foot warehouse expansion with a five year $740,000 tax rebate and 13 new jobs. The authority also awarded about $500,000 in grants to Eastern Iowa entrepreneurship programs including Corridor Angels and Startup Dubuque, plus university and college funding for MERGE Protostudies and related startup initiatives.
