Cedar Rapids man pleads to lesser charge in daughter's death

Zyriah Schlitter, 30, pleaded guilty to felony child neglect in the 2010 death of his 18 month old daughter Kamryn after a 2012 trial conviction for involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment. He remains free after serving four years. An Alford plea acknowledged sufficient evidence for negligence while facing potential retrial.
