GM to Boost Vehicle Output Under Cash for Clunkers Plan
General Motors will add 60 000 vehicles to output in Q3 and Q4 and recall about 1 350 workers in the US and Canada as demand rises from the Cash for Clunkers program. Plants in Ingersoll Ontario and Lordstown Ohio will add shifts while Orion Michigan increases production on Malibu and Go sedans.
