Three downtown sites named for new flood library
Cedar Rapids residents and city officials reviewed three proposed sites for a flood damaged downtown library replacement. The True North site across from Greene Square Park, Skogman Homes at 411 First Ave SE, and a plot between Seventh and Eighth streets SE were presented with a rendering showing an architectural design facing Greene Square Park.

Iowans Near National ACT Average Surpassges as Readiness Lags
Iowa high school graduates posted an average ACT composite score of 22.4, above the national figure and second only to Wisconsin among states with half of graduates tested. Minnesota led with 22.7, while more than 70 percent of Iowa seniors did not meet all four ACT college readiness benchmarks.
