Driving Distractions Sparked by Hair Fixing and Hands Free Tech
Column notes two studies on driving distraction. A Salon Selectives survey of 1000 women ages 18 to 28 finds two thirds fix hair in mirrors while driving, with makeup and cell phones also common and 38 percent engaging in sex while in transit. A Utah study finds hands free cell use just as dangerous as handheld because brain attention, not hand use, is at issue.
