Beginning teachers will see starting pay rise to 28000 dollars with districts able to boost existing educators, while concerns grow about sensitivity to accountability and recruitment pressures.
IOWA CITY Mike Gatens recalls his father Don Gatens who played as a freshman at Notre Dame in 1945 and will receive a monogram at a noon ceremony in the Joyce Center in South Bend. The event will be attended by Mike and Steve Gatens and members of the University of Iowa soccer team.
