Five Anne Frank diary pages found may trigger return dispute
Five handwritten pages thought missing from Anne Frank’s diary surfaced in the possession of a former Anne Frank Foundation employee. The Netherlands State Institute for War Documentation and the foundation demand their return. They warn the pages likely arrived to shield contents from public release and cite the material’s sensitive nature. Otto Frank allegedly gave the pages to the man before his 1980 death, though no wrongdoing is proven. The find risks new legal actions over the manuscript once thought complete.
