The All Iowa fair enters its final weekend with live stock 4 H judging and auto races on Sunday. Aberdeen-Angus judging wrapped up Saturday morning for the open beef show while purebred hog judging closed the junior division. The Linn County 4 H dairy cattle judging and the 4 H baby beef auction were scheduled as part of the event.
Gov Norman Erbe says photos of him sent to Republican county leaders were personally paid for by his aide James R Maggert and not authorized by the State Executive Council The council had approved 400 for 200 pictures later sent to private citizens upon request Erbe made the remark after returning from Camp Ripley where he reviewed National Guard troops
Sunday events include 1:30 p.m. time trials for late model stock cars marked Z1 em. Sprint races follow earlier in the day with stock cars. At 8 p.m. two hundred lap late model stock car races headline the program.
At the Farm Youth Center 4-H girls demonstrated and judged clothing while a clothing revue ran during the day. Hollywood Western Thrill Show with Chuck Connors drew crowds, stock car races centered weekend events. Friday attendance rose 1,476 from last year with a 5 day total of 97,655, nearing the 1954 seven day record.

Clarence Austin 25 of Atlanta Ga is held on murder charges with a preliminary hearing set for Wednesday. Material witnesses Mrs Floyes and John Edwards of Austin Texas are held on 25000 bond. Edwards later revised his statement to place Floyes and Austin arguing inside the restaurant before the shooting.
