Carnival Worker Admits Slaying at C R Restaurant
Clarence Austin a 25 year old carnival worker from Atlanta Ga admitted the slaying of fellow carnival worker Woodrow Wilson Floyes 30 Mobile Ala after an early morning argument at Old Hickory Inn west of Cedar Rapids. Floyes was shot at 245 am shortly after leaving the restaurant with his wife Austin and John Edwards 32 San Antonio Texas. Austin fled the scene and was arrested seven miles west after a high speed chase by patrol. Police said he admitted the shooting to Detective Captain.
