Turkey numbers drop spur Midwest study on poult production
Researchers from Iowa State University and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources track wild turkey hens and poults across southern Iowa. The pilot study probes disease, predators, and new factors like LPDV to explain a 30 year decline in poult production and overall turkey abundance in Iowa Missouri and Illinois.
