Georgia pardons executed maid Lena Baker after 60 years
The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles will pardon Lena Baker the only woman executed in Georgia’s electric chair. The board calls the 1945 clemency denial a grievous error and plans to present a proclamation to Baker’s descendants on August 30.
