Bow hunters debate compound bows at Iowa jamboree
Iowa wildlife biologist Lee Gladfelter told bow hunters at Enders Field near Toddville that compound bows raise success rates to about 30 percent, compared with 26 percent for all bow hunters and 26 percent overall for gun hunters. He warned any deer herd decline could lead to restrictions while defending bow hunting and urging study of causes.

Jamboree Draws 723 Shooters at Toddville Enders Field
The Iowa State Bowhunters Jamboree drew 723 archers from Iowa and nearby states at Enders Field near Toddville. The event featured 56 three dimensional targets on a wooded course with prize drawings, seminars, and multiple speakers, including a canceled appearance by LeRoy Braungardt.
