Commission OKs master zoning plan

The Planning Commission unanimously approves a master zoning ordinance after five years of work. Key provisions limit auto repairs to under 10,000 pounds with a 48 hour completion window and allow unlimited passenger vehicles in residential front driveways provided they do not block sidewalks and stay 5 feet from the street if parked side by side. One operable recreational vehicle may be parked on a front yard driveway. The ordinance moves to the City Council for public hearing and action.
