Frank Thomas, 69, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday afternoon in a Minneapolis hospital where he worked 20 years as an electrician at the Minnesota State sanitarium. Born April 19, 1879 in Kellogg, he leaves a daughter Delbert Wilson and sister Mabel Darling of Cedar Rapids, plus brothers Earl Cedar Rapids LeRoy California and Fred Arizona. He belonged to the electricians union Shrine and Masonic bodies. Services set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Beatty chapel with Rev. A. B. Curran. burial in Linwood cemetery.

Tick Fever Victim in University Hospital
Miss Mary Caster, 45, of near Exline, Iowa, is admitted to University Hospital in Iowa City with tick fever. Dr R R Edwards of Center Ville said she is quite critically ill. The Linn County Board of Supervisors scheduled August 31 at 2 p.m. for a hearing on establishing a secondary road district between Walker and Troy Mills. Arn Pleads Innocent to Drunk Driving Charge
