City Restores 1932 Pay for Two Inspectors
Leonard Berry and Harry Martin were returned to full time work with their 1932 salaries of $1,920 each restored by the city council. A 1933 emergency resolution cutting salaries created a conflict with existing ordinances and led to legal questions over which pay applied. The issue clarified after the council revised the electrical code, fixing the inspector salary at $2,100 and resolving the prior discrepancies.
