Tax Receipts Down in July in Iowa
DES MOINES AP Tax receipts for July totalled 8,840,309 a drop of nearly 1 000 000 from a year ago. The biggest decline came from individual income taxes down 688 486. Use tax on vehicles rose 314 278 helping offset the income tax loss. Sales tax fell 5 947 beer tax up 13 985 and cigarette tax up 19 041.
