Lippisch's Aerodyne Quest and Delta Wing Legacy

The article profiles Dr. Alexander M. Lippisch, a leading aeronautical engineer who spent 26 years in Cedar Rapids before his death in 1976. It covers his shift from all-wing concepts to the aerodyne, his work with Collins Radio and Dornier, and his dream of wingless, missile-like carriers. It notes his earlier fame as the father of the delta wing and his advocacy of aerofoil boats for global food distribution.
