Johnson County expands affordable housing with renovated property
County supervisor Jon Green notes about 1.5 million dollars already allocated for affordable housing stock as the renovated West Liberty Foods property is acquired with general fund money. The plan aims for tenants earning under 30 percent of county median income, paying no more than 30 percent of income, with potential energy upgrades funded by MidAmerican Energy and Inflation Reduction Act opportunities.
