Becker Plans insanity defense in coach murder eluding case
Allison Becker 24 will claim insanity or diminished responsibility in both his first degree murder trial for Ed Thomas's death and the eluding case. He led Cedar Falls and Parkersburg police on a high speed chase, damaged property, and was later hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation before release. The murder trial is set for Sept. 15 and the eluding trial for Oct. 27 with a $1 million bond posted.

Davenport police officer Cliff Anderson was justified in fatally shooting 39 year old Steven Mallory on the Centennial Bridge after Mallory attacked him during a bridge pursuit.
