Essay Contest For Cedar Rapids Youth Starts Monday
The Linn County Youth Council of the Cedar Rapids Junior Chamber of Commerce will sponsor an essay contest for Cedar Rapids youths starting Monday. The topic is Youth Problems in Cedar Rapids and What Should Be Done About Them. Two age groups, 12 to 15 and 16 to 19, will each have a boy and a girl winner who receive $25 savings bonds. Entries must be mailed to the Youth Activities Chairman by midnight August 31 and be in ink or typed on one side. Judging will be by content and winners announced September 15.
