Market Dips on Uncertain Economic Outlook

Iowa hog market and grain prices report from Des Moines and Chicago

Des Moines reports slow hog trade with mixed demand and firm butchers, sows steady, prices 30.50 to 36.00 per hundredweight across weights. Egg and butter prices show small gains and steady bulk selling values. Chicago grain quotes list wheat at about 4.05 and corn around 2.75 a bushel with soybeans near 7.10.

Cedar Rapids scholars win Lutheran Brotherhood scholarships

Poultry market report from Des Moines area steady prices

The Federal State Market News Service reports a fully steady poultry market in the Des Moines area with prices mostly 1/4 to 1/2 cent higher than yesterday. Trading is moderate and supplies are adequate in the northern area but short in the southern, with commercial flocks at 9 to 10 cents per pound at farms.
