Drunk driving cases end in Linn County Court
Twenty three defendants in the First Avenue division of Linn District Court faced guilty pleas on drunk driving charges. Sentences varied from suspended terms and probation to short jail time, with many ordered to attend Kirkwood Community College drunk drivers courses and to stay under Department of Corrections supervision. Several pleas included deferred sentences and probation revocations, with multiple arrests spanning December through June prior to sentencing.
