Lawyer questions claim no dashcam video exists in Manchester chase case

Cedar Rapids lawyer David O'Brien represents parents of Augustin Mormann in a suit over the 2020 Manchester chase that killed the 31 year old. He challenges the police claim no dashcam or bodycam was active, alleging the department altered cameras to disable when lights are on. The suit says Wessels continued the pursuit for a misdemeanor and seeks evidence from dashcam footage. The Iowa State Patrol report notes lack of video left the crash sequence inconclusive.
