The Iowa Milling company started construction of a one story brick office building at 411 Sixth street NE. The structure measures 40 by 26 feet and is designed for office use only. It will feature an asphalt tile floor acoustic tile ceiling and plastered walls.
The project to reinforce the basement will be carried out under a contract awarded to Morehead Construction Company.
A new house at 401 Thirty sixth street NE built by L Curtis Wood has been sold to Mr and Mrs Charles H Birch of 1242 Fourth street NW through Bruce A West and Company. The same realtor also facilitated the sale of 407 Thirtieth street SE to Joseph V Weaver of 629 Fourth avenue SE by Mr and Mrs Jerry Jasa.
