Cedar Rapids Horseshoe Club Leagues Under New Lights
Cedar Rapids Horseshoe Club league play returns this May through August at Ellis Park with five divisions of six players. The crowd skews older as the average member is 41, with many over 60, and organizers worry about aging membership while seeking new, younger players. The event features round robin play, heavy forged irons costing 40 to 60 dollars a pair, and strong camaraderie as top throwers report 58 to 60 percent ringers.
