Linn Jail Called Worst Place On Earth For Juveniles
Gerald Fatka, attorney for Cedar Rapids churches, and Marion Martin discuss the lack of a juvenile evaluation center in Cedar Rapids and propose a county juvenile facility as an alternative to the Linn County Jail. Five juveniles spent last weekend at the jail, highlighting the need for a group home or detention center and a dedicated evaluation facility. Local officials consider converting space at St. Luke's hospital and other options to address the issue.
