One Man Fined For Drunk Driving
Wayne Carter 49 of North English pled guilty to a drunk driving charge. Judge Floyd Philbrick fined him 300 dollars plus costs after the plea. Louis Cannon 52 of 422 Sixth Street SE was given time to enter a plea by 10 am Wednesday. Carter was stopped on Highway 149 south of Cedar Rapids by Deputy Robert Martin returning from training at Lambert Field. Cannon was arrested Saturday afternoon by Patrolmen Thomas Gaines and Leland Nelson.
