IE Plans May 2 Rate Hikes and Summer Increase
Iowa Electric Light and Power will raise residential rates by about 15.4 percent starting Friday May 2 with a concurrent start of summer rate schedules. In Cedar Rapids area the average rise hits about 18 percent for typical 553 kw monthly use, while R-2 and R-3 schedules merge for all non Cedar Rapids customers.
