Cedar Rapids City Council approves urban renewal and zoning actions
The Cedar Rapids City Council met in regular session with most members present. They approved plans for a water main extension, awarded a demolition contract in the Civic Center renewal area, and supported HUD compliance. May 16 set for public hearings on zoning changes, and multiple beer license, parkade, and street-light items were authorized or discussed along with several rezoning petitions and ordinance readings.
