Community Play Delivers Madcap Night at McKinley
The Tuesday show of The Mad Hopes drew a large audience and glowing notices. Mrs. E. J. Carey sparked laughter as Clytemnestra Hope, with Mary Lackersteen delivering top slapstick and Edward Soboda Jr. praised for comic timing. The ensemble, including Howard Holman, Helen Stitgen, Darryl Horsfall, Donald DeFore, Maurice Kline, Ralph Bachman, and others, created a lively performance with a striking set and adept direction by Albert McCleary. The play repeats Wednesday night.
