Weather radio transmitter near Kirkwood offline since April
Repairs underway this week on the NOAA weather radio transmitter serving Linn County after an outage since April 13. Tower technicians Kyler Gulbran and Josh Fitzler replace cables and an antenna at the Cedar Rapids site to restore reports to weather radios countywide.

Regents survey shows more students, staff feel free to speak

Cedar Rapids awards incentives for 21M Airport Commercial Park
The Cedar Rapids City Council approved incentives for Iowa Development I LLC to build a 21 million dollar Airport Commercial Park on 15 acres near Wright Brothers Boulevard SW and The Eastern Iowa Airport. The project includes five commercial lots with 20K to 24K square foot warehouses, four 13K square foot contractor suites, and self storage, aiming to boost industrial growth in southwest Cedar Rapids.
