Longtime Iowa City dentist Evan S Smith dies at 82
Evan S Smith of Iowa City died peacefully at home on Tuesday April 19 2011 after a lymphoma battle. He donated his body to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for research and a May 7 memorial is planned at Black Stone Restaurant. His life included service as a Captain in the Air Force and a 1950 Iowa graduate who led a dental practice from 1958 to 1999. He is survived by his children Elliott Camilla and Stephanie and grandchildren, with a note of thanks to medical staff and caregivers. Online condolences are welcome.
