Probing Culver Campaign Contributions Ties to Fort Dodge License
State investigators examine whether $25,000 donated to Gov. Chet Culver’s campaign by Webster County Gaming LLC principals violates campaign laws. Peninsula Gaming says the payment covered related expenses for the Fort Dodge license application and was donated to charity later. The inquiry involves DCI and the Attorney General’s Office with the Racing and Gaming Commission set to act May 13. The ethics board will also review after the DCI concludes.
