Taste of Jazz and Wine to Launch Summer Concert Series

Kirkwood Hospitality students team with 1st Avenue Wine House for a food and wine tasting. Tickets 45 dollars. proceeds support Jazz Under the Stars. Iowa Texas Roadhouse offers free lunch for Special Olympics Iowa donations on Wednesday with venues in Coralville and Cedar Rapids.

The Downtown Association of Iowa City partners with the University of Iowa RiverFest Committee to host the second Riverfest from 4 to 8 p.m. in downtown Iowa City. The Islamic Center of Cedar Rapids prepares its annual Middle Eastern Dinner with kebabs fatayer and cabbage rolls for up to 1000 attendees. Volunteers made 1700 meat pies and 200 spinach pies on April 3 at Midamar storage and 1900 pies will be delivered Sunday. Tickets are 12 for adults and 6 for children with two service sessions.
