Inmate siege at Lucasville prison ends as guard freed

After five days of barricades at Ohio's maximum security facility inmates released one of seven hostages Thursday night. A body of another guard was found earlier. The freed guard was Darrold Clark, 23, hospitalized in stable condition. An inmate named George said the inmates were oppressed and prepared to die if negotiations failed. The group sought live TV coverage and denied racial motives in the siege.

Judge balks at transfer in Ann Arbor custody case

Washtenaw County Circuit Judge William Ager refused to order the 2 year old’s transfer from the DeBoers to the Schmidts citing ongoing appeals.
